Role Overview

SAP Variant Configuration (VC) specialist responsible for extending and customizing SAP VC solutions using ABAP. The role focuses on developing Variant Functions, enhancing configuration interfaces, integrating VC with SD and PP, and performing technical troubleshooting to ensure robust configuration processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Variant Functions to handle complex calculations and external data lookups within SAP VC

• Create and maintain function modules using Transaction SE37 following standard interfaces

• Map VC characteristics to ABAP parameters within CU65 for accurate data exchange

• Enhance the VC configuration editor using Module Pool programming

• Implement User Exits in SD and PP to control configuration data flow into sales and production processes

• Debug custom function modules and standard VC processing code to resolve dependency issues

• Perform data analysis and migration using SAP Classification and VC tables

• Provide technical guidance and support for VC-related development and troubleshooting

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in SAP Variant Configuration (LO‑VC)

• Proficient in ABAP development, including Function Modules and Module Pool programming

• Hands-on experience with CU65 interface mapping and SE37 transaction

• Knowledge of SD and PP integration for configuration data

• Solid debugging skills for troubleshooting VC dependencies and custom code

• Deep understanding of SAP Classification and VC tables (CABN, CAWN, AUSP, IBIN)

• Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex configuration issues
