Role Overview

Senior Integration Developer responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions within a banking environment. The role focuses on API development, ESB integrations, and secure communication between banking systems and channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integration services and APIs using Java

• Develop and support integrations using IBM ACE / Enterprise Service Bus technologies

• Implement and maintain REST and SOAP services

• Work with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka

• Develop secure integrations using OAuth and related authentication mechanisms

• Support integrations across banking domains including Cards, Payments, Loans, Treasury, and Regulatory systems

• Perform API testing and troubleshooting using tools such as Postman and Bruno

• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver integration solutions

• Work in containerized environments and support deployment activities

• Manage source code and CI/CD activities using GitLab

• Prioritize and adapt to changing project and workstream requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Java development

• Experience developing and testing APIs in enterprise environments

• Solid understanding of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) integration concepts

• Experience with IBM ACE or similar integration platforms

• Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and OAuth

• Experience with Kafka and event-driven integration patterns

• Familiarity with containers and modern deployment approaches

• Good understanding of banking environments and core banking domains

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Ability to multitask and reprioritize activities in dynamic environments

• English language – REQUIRED

• Availability to work in Bucharest and frequently on client site – REQUIRED

Nice to Have

• Experience in banking transformation or modernization programs

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

• Familiarity with cloud-native integration approaches

• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
